Santa Clara School is a wonderful educational environment built on the interest and enthusiasm of our parents, teachers and students.
We cater for boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year 6 where we aim to provide a safe, caring and loving environment for all our students. Our school is centred on the values that define our Catholic faith so all members can treat each other with respect and dignity. We celebrate and pride ourselves on the multiculturalism of our students which creates a sense of unity within the school.
Small School. Limitless Love.
Santa Clara School is a small community school where everyone welcomes each other and gets to everyone by name. Each student is valued and recognised for their individual talents & personality and empowered to become engaged, independent and fulfilled. We may be a little school but the love our students feel is limitless.
Endless Potential
We aim to provide our students with the skills they need to contribute to society and continue their journey through life. Students are actively encouraged to take on leadership roles and responsibilities, be creative, ask questions whilst building resilience and confidence to navigate life’s opportunities and challenges.
Our Vision
Inspired by the Dominican tradition, Santa Clara School is founded on the principles of Truth and the Christian way of living. We seek to nurture the individual qualities of each person within our school community in a caring and accepting atmosphere. Our vision has always been a commitment to the pursuit of truth which is a reminder to students & families of the part they play in maintaining and being part of a dynamic and supportive education environment. Passion, hard work, kindness and resilience, not just academic achievement, are encouraged and recognised at our school.
Learning
A strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy and the implementation of early intervention strategies, including learning plans for students who come to us from Non-English speaking backgrounds, ensure that all children are catered for. Specialist teachers are involved in the areas of; music, Italian, physical education, health, STEM and digital technology.
Wellbeing
Our aim is to provide learning opportunities for our students to build skills, confidence and strive for academic excellence aligned with the development of social, emotional and physical well-being. Our strengths-based approach to wellbeing is embedded in the curriculum to support students, teachers and parents within our community.
Our Staff
Our staff and teachers are family. With their diverse experience ranging from early learning to upper primary, our students are inspired, nurtured and supported in their years at Santa Clara School. Our leadership group led by our Principal, Mr Clinton Payne encourages an open door, friendly and warm approach to all students and families which has created a strong community of mutual respect and partnership.
Our Community
The Santa Clara School community is a vibrant and supportive group of parents, grandparents, siblings, friends and the local community that have been part of Santa Clara School for over 70 years.
Our school values that children are only young for a short time. We encourage where possible parent participation in their early learning years including parent rosters, parent sessions in class and attending excursions so that parents can enjoy the learning journey with their children.
Our school is very fortunate to have an active and enthusiastic Parents & Friends Association (P&F) that is committed to supporting our school and our children. Recent examples of P&F support & activities include; refurbishment of the school library, new phonic readers for early literacy programs, library & class flexible learning furniture.
